New Starts

Happy New Year to all singers and choirs!
Thame Choral Society had a wonderful Christmas concert with the first half being taken up with Bach's Christmas Oratorio and the second half a non stop run of Christmas music punctuated by a couple of readings. It was a joy to be part of this great celebration.
However, it is now the time to start again and in 5 days time we will be getting new sets of "dots and lines" and the whole cycle will start again. I have always loved beginnings, the joy of starting something new is a wonderful feeling. There is a sense of opportunity and adventure with every new beginning. There will, of course be moments before our May Concert when it feels like we will never get there but I'm sure we will lift our game like we always do!
If anybody has accidentally stumbled across this blog and is considering joining a choir or singing again after a break, I have only one thing to say "Do it now, it is a new year full of new starts, make singing your New Year's Resolution"

  1. Hi This is Phil Westerman, the MC of The First Thursday Music Club in Thame. We have had almost every genre of music performed at our monthly events - but I cannot recall any classical singers!

Whilst it is probably hard for us to fit a choir on our stage, I am sure you have some "stars" that would love to sing solos or duets (accompanied on our stage piano) to a warm and appreciative audience of music lovers? I truly believe that our audience would enjoy hearing some of the classic arias sung live (I know I would!). Give me a buzz on 07971 545689 to discuss or email at philwesterman@hotmail.com
