I suppose I should introduce myself. I am 45 years old and I sing Tenor (often badly, seldom well) for Thame Choral Society. We are a small society who meet every week to sing under the superb direction of Helen Swift. We sing two concerts a year: One near Christmas and one in early summer. We sing a largely classical repertoire but are not averse to sliding a little Jazz into the mix.
At present we are one week away from our Christmas performance of Britten’s Ceremony of Carols as well as two or three other bits of festive music.
Are we ready? There is always a sense of nervousness about this but somehow we always pull through. More later!
